Shop Technician

**Shift**:
Day shift, with overtime available
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Preparing drill bit pockets for cutters
- Placement of cutters
- Cleaning bit body with hand grinder
- Inspecting quality of bit exterior
- Machine grinding
- Assisting brazers
- Painting
- Cross-train on all Shop Technician duties
- Other general labour duties as required
**Position Qualifications**:
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Welding experience is an asset.
- Reliable, accountable and dependable.
- Must have strong communication skills and be eager to learn.
- Self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Must be able to successfully pass an alcohol and drug screen as well as an occupational fit test.
- Those with previous bit manufacturing experience will be considered first.
