**Greater City Concrete Works (GCCW)** was founded in 2007 in Lively, Ontario, with the objective of delivering concrete forming and placing services to the local industrial, commercial, and institutional construction markets. Starting with a single office trailer and old pickup truck the small GCCW team humbly set out on to this objective.
More than a decade later and with the addition of a 10,000 square foot shop and a fleet of 20 light trucks, a growing group of talented individuals continues to provide construction services throughout Ontario, focusing largely on serving the Northern Ontario regions’ industrial operators and manufacturers while also helping build schools, hospitals, dams, bridges, and commercial and residential structures.
**_Responsibilities &
Duties:
_**
- At least 5 years of laborer experience (residential, civil)
- Carpentry experience
- Ability to carry products up to 50lbs
- Ability to effectively operate handheld power tools
- Ability to operate forklift and material handlers an asset
- Grout Work Experience
- Concrete cutting/coring Experience
- Concrete and Rock Drilling Experience
- Ability to effectively read construction drawings and asset
- Ability to operate excavation equipment as an asset
- Experience with placing and finishing concrete surfaces as an asset
- Experience with masonry block installation as an asset
- Experience operating concrete cutting and coring tools as an asset
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company health and safety standards and policies
**Requires Knowledge &
Awareness of Following Tasks**
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Forklift Certificate
- Working at Heights
- WHMIS
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle a must
- Relocating to Sudbury
