Social Media Marketing Specialist

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Media Engagement Manager, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for handling and creating of wide array of photo and video content for social media, as well as managing social media channels and developing media assets for recurring use.
**Schedule**:
Full-Time
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Post / interact daily on all social media platforms on behalf of Comox Valley Dodge/ Comox Valley Toyota
- Create awareness, engagement, and brand recognition on Vancouver Island for the Comox Valley dealerships
- Organize and plan content scheduled on a month-to-month basis
- Write engaging copy for social captions and website content
- Set up &
optimize ads campaigns utilizing Facebook Ads Manager.
- Create captivating graphics and thumbnails on Canva for videos, posts, and promotions
- Deploy Monthly E-blasts utilizing our CRM with engaging copy, graphics
- Collaborate with local businesses and non-profits on engagement projects
- Assist in supporting larger video productions where needed
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Trotman Auto Group’s Core Values and Employee Handbook in all interactions with clients, team members, and vendors
- Additional duties as assigned by management
**Qualifications &
Skills**:
- Up to date on Social Media trends and digital technologies across all platforms
- An ability to shoot and edit vertical video content on iPhone
- Understanding of digital marketing best practices
- Dealership experience on Social Media platforms would be an added advantage
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and building relationships skills in person and online
