Above all else, we believe in doing the right thing for our people, our communities and our planet.Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Sourcing, this individual is responsible for seeking out the best business partnerships to deliver exceptional value, quality and service to our internal customers. Through understanding the key business drivers within his/her area of responsibility, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will work with Recipe’s Brand Leadership Teams to select business partners and control the product sourcing and negotiating process with vendors.What you will do in this role:
Maximize cost reductions while meeting individual category established financial targetsIdentify and determine vendors through RFP analysis and customer requirementsDetermine and present opportunities for vendor, SKU, and spec rationalizationAchieve cost savings target identified for SourcingIdentify cost savings and value added opportunities for assigned categories.Determine brands’ key business requirements and align category vendor strategyFinalize agreements with vendors specifying price and duration and creation and negotiation of formal contractsNegotiate terms and conditions, service level agreements and statement of work with vendorsEnsure contract details are communicated to business managers, distribution partners, and financial analystsSource, implement, and manage launch of new products within assigned categories based on identified Brand requirementsManage day to day supply chain for category SKUs and ensure continuity of supplyActively assess and develop alternate vendor baseManage contract renewals on a timely basisDetermine buying strategy based on market conditionsPrepare and deliver product presentations to department peers, Directors, VP and brand leaders as requiredWhat we are looking for from you:
3 to 5 years sourcing, negotiation, buying experienceExperience in category based buying, demonstrated ability to manage and understand vendor capabilitiesUnderstanding of logistics and broadline distribution is an assetExperience with Indirect/Services procurement is an assetAbility to prioritize and reprioritize as business requirements developFinancial analysis, negotiation and presentation skillsAbility to manage resources, anticipate issues and monitor business controlsCustomer service orientation is a mustPlaces a high priority on teamwork and achieving collective goalsAbility to clearly communicate your ideas and provide accurate feedbackKnowledge of G Suite Application is an assetWhat's in it for you?:
