**Position Description Summary**
Responsible for ensuring efficient planning, direction and coordination for all activities, including releasing all shipments in all modes of transport and confirming of entries. Leads activities to support billing, customer service and staffing issues at the operations level. The Supervisor reports into the Customs Operations Manager.
**Principal Accountabilities**
- Oversees employees to ensure all aspects of the daily operations from the actual clearance.
- Provides customer service
- Conducts internal quality audits within the customs operation to ensure compliance is maintained at the highest standard.
- Actively visits the customers to ensure their continued satisfaction;
address any customer complaints.
- Runs the team efficiently while helping in the training of staff to maintain industry standards.
- Monitors operational reports to ensure production levels and resolve issues.
- Forwards any business leads to potential departments.
- Applies for waivers on late accounting penalties.
- Performs employee, hiring, evaluations and reviews.
- Corrects rejected CADEX entries when required.
- Communicates with CBSA as required to resolve issues.
- Supervises and assists in daily operations.
- Provides support to the Customs Supervisor/Manager as required.

- Experience in managing/supervising a team of employees
- Experience and knowledge of processes and procedures in customs operations for all modes of transportation.

- Experience in customs:
knowledge of Customs rules, regulations and tariffs, completion of Customs qualifying exam
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills (telephone and face-to-face):
demonstrates command of the English language, demonstrates polite and clear telephone presence;
- Ability to speak French is an asset
- Ability to manage stress:
able to multi-task, energetic, rational temper, flexible and available
- Mandatory CCS designation/professional accreditation in international trade
