**Your Impact**:
Based in Toronto, you’ll have the chance to use your experience and expertise to help manage P3 transit contracts through Substantial Completion and into Revenue Service. The Systems Interface Lead is responsible for managing interfaces across multiple organizations and teams, providing relevant expertise, and generally supporting the Systems team and the Systems Project Director in the delivery of the Project. In this position you’ll own your career as you work on some of the most innovative projects of our time.
**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
- Proven ability to deeply understand and analyze complex technical and commercial issues and to articulate those issues to senior client representatives in a clear and concise fashion both verbally and in written form.
- Conduct reviews to confirm conformance with the Project Agreement, good industry practice, and applicable standards
- Provide technical and contract administration recommendations and guidance to the project delivery team.
- Responsible for managing interfaces across multiple organizations and multidisciplinary teams, providing relevant expertise and leadership that is required to support the delivery of the Project.
- General awareness of emerging issues and ability to identify and characterize risks including strategies for mitigation.
- Monitor and track outstanding work and deficiencies as we approach Substantial and Final Completion.
- Keep senior management and others routinely informed of project status and all developments that can impact project cost, schedule, safety, and reputation through regular reports.
- Review and respond to Systems related correspondence including claims and variations
- Proactive stakeholder management.
- Work closely with the scheduling team to compare actual progress and logic to the P6 schedule.
- Knowledge of Systems engineering fundamentals, contract management strategies, and relevant industry practices;
knowledge of the INCOSESystems Engineering Body of Knowledge and ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 would be an asset.
- Knowledge of civil/structural engineering, railway engineering, vehicle engineering and requirements traceability, and Systems integration would be an asset.
- Manage all issues related to the implementation of Systems Engineering with a focus on design development, safety and security assurance, Systems engineering compliance, safety certification oversight, verification and validation, and Systems integration.
- Represent the client at multiple project working groups.
You’ll Also Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. P. Eng. designation is an asset
- 10 years or more of progressive Systems Engineering and/or contract administration experience on transit or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of technical, contractual, and commercial fundamentals on major projects.
- Experience liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly (written and oral)
- A PMP designation would be an asset.
Systems:
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.
- Proficiency in a requirements management software such as DOORS would be an asset.
- Proficiency in RAMS analysis and software would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project or P6 would be an asset.
