Job Summary
Distech Controls, a subsidiary of Acuity Brands, is looking for an Electronics Technician for its office in Brossard, Quebec (Canada).
Under the immediatesupervision of the Production Manager and in collaboration with the production engineering team, the Electronics Technician is primarily responsible for the repair of electronic boards, first level support of production test equipment and diagnostics of returned goods.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Repair (update) of electronic boards
:
Analyze the reasons for board rejection during testing and make the necessary repairs using multimeter, oscilloscope etc.:
Update the operations performed in the database (Proligent) during the repair of the boards.
Test benches
:
1st level specialist for debugging of test benches:
Follow the preventive maintenance of the test benches:
Preparation of components for new test benches:
Debug new test benches with the production engineer
Production
:
Install and configure printers (DATAMAX and ZEBRA) for production:
Configure the database (Proligent) for the new production PCs:
Maintain inventory of cards under repair:
Identify potential problem trends:
Participate in the annual inventory count
RMA
:
Diagnose issues communicated by the customer:
Receive RMAs:
Drafting of analysis reports:
Identify trends in potential problems
Experience (minimum experience required)
Essential:
College diploma (DEC) in electronics:
Minimum of 4 to 6 years experience in a similar position:
Knowledge of the Windows environment:
