**This is a term position working up to 75 hours biweekly until March 31, 2024.**
**This opportunity will be an underfill appointment. Temporary Assignments will equally be considered.**
At **Tourism and Culture**, we are a dynamic team of professionals who are dedicated to Yukon’s vibrant tourism, arts, museums, heritage, historic sites, and archival communities and to their contributions to Yukon’s quality of life and prosperity.
Under the direction of the Art Curator, the Visual Art Collections Coordinator coordinates access and management of the Government of Yukon’s art collections including documentation, presentation, care and maintenance. This position also develops special programs, exhibitions, displays and workshops and oversees promotional and support programs for visual artists and provides support for art commissions, restoration and maintenance projects.
**Essential Qualifications**

- Post-secondary education in fine arts, museum studies, arts administration, or related field;
- Demonstrated experience in art handling, documentation and/or installation;
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of computer programs (ie. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Adobe suite and databases).
**Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability**
- Technical knowledge and ability in art installation;
- Ability to managea heavy workload with critical deadlines, problem solve and re-prioritize to meet changing circumstances;
- Project coordination skills, including collaborating with partners, working within budgets and meeting deadlines;
- Knowledge and familiarity with the arts and culture sector;
- Oral and written communication skills;
- Experience working with databases and in collection management is an asset.
**Additional Information**
**Condition(s) of Employment**:
- Yukon Class 5 Driving License
**Job Requirement(s)**:
- Possible travel throughout the Yukon.
- Occasional lifting of boxes (10 - 15 kg.).
**Relocation**:
Relocation and interview expenses will not be considered for this position
