Warehouse Coordinator

Partners in Mission Food Bank is a registered charity and independent organization located in Kingston. Our mission is to provide nourishment, hope, and support in our community with an opportunity for our all to share. We have proudly provided food hampers for our community since 1984. Each month we help over 1300 families with food hampers, requiring over 90,000 lbs of food.
Due to an upcoming retirement, we have an opening for our Warehouse Coordinator, to join our small staff of 7.
The Warehouse Coordinator position is a busy role, often multi-tasking. They organise our warehouse, order food, track, and report donated/distributed food weights. Working closely with our volunteers answering questions and assisting where required. The position requires a full G license with clean abstract and 6-years of driving experience.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week, primarily Monday to Friday), offering health benefits and group RRSP.
**Key Duties &
Responsibilities**:
Ordering and receiving food (checking for quality, quantity, temperature, damages, condition).
Organising pickup schedules, on occasion picking up food donations.
Follow safe food handling procedures/processes.
Safely operate warehouse moving equipment, forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
Excellent communication abilities and skills dealing with clients, volunteers, donors, suppliers and partners by phone or in person.
Tracking, reporting of food ordered, received, and distributed.
Cleaning of warehouse, removing garbage, sweeping/washing floors, etc. as needed.
Maintaining the warehouse health and safety.

**Additional Requirements**:
G Class drivers license with 6 years of clean driving experience, fully vaccinated against COVID
