**Job Summary**
- The Faculty of Agriculture, Dalhousie University is a small research-intensive campus located in Truro, NS. Offering technical, undergraduate and graduate programs in agriculture, environment and related life and social science disciplines, the Faculty of Agriculture educates future leaders and generates knowledge and innovative solutions for healthy, sustainable societies. Reporting to the Director, Finance &
Administration, the WebContent Specialist will lead the redevelopment of the websites for the Faculty of Agriculture and the Agricultural Campus, serving as the Faculty’s web expert and as project manager when appropriate to enhance the Faculty and Campus’s web profile and presence.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Determine content needs while ensuring alignment with updated Dalhousie brand guidelines and Communications, Marketing and Creative Services requirements prior to migration to AEM Touch UI.
- Identify target audiences, users, goals, and content and make recommendations on how to best use the website to advance strategic priorities.
- Develop original content for the web, including writing copy and sourcing images and graphics. Propose creative ways to attract, engage, and inform stakeholders on the website.
- Ensure the website meets best practices for user experience, information architecture, and search engine optimization.
- Provide leadership to departments on the preparation and layout of content for the new sites. Advise and direct using diplomacy and discretion to ensure best practices and guidelines are followed, and strategic priorities addressed.
- Build, update and migrate pages and websites to Touch UI for the Faculty, Campus, and other related sub-sites within dal.Ca. This includes ensuring content is current, inclusive, and accessible.
**Note**
- The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in a related field (e.G. Public Relations, Marketing or Communications) plus approximately three years’ related experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Experience in creating and maintaining websites (AEM, CQ, or other Content Management Systems CMS) including experience with web accessibility standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write for diverse audiences and experience writing web content.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under tight timelines and on projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven decision-making skills with the capacity to solve problems efficiently.
**Assets**
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Knowledge of the Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Campus.
- Google analytics experience.
- Experience with Windows Server administration, channel player configuration (windows environment), vLANs, basic networking, mySQL, video over CAT5.
