**Role**:
Alberta Wildfire is seeking multiple seasonal Wildfire Data Entry personnel to join our team!
Seasonal Wildfire Data Entry positions are strategically located in ten (10) Forest Area offices throughout the province of Alberta. High Level, Peace River, Fort McMurray, Lac La Biche, Grande Prairie, Slave Lake, Whitecourt, Edson, Calgary and Rocky Mountain House.
Additional Duties:
- General Office Duties;
photocopying, Filing, Mail, Maintaining office equipment etc.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor, duty officer and other internal and external wildfire associates as needed.
- Front desk reception;
answering telephone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Review, correct, enter, and report on salary, wage, contracted and emergency hire time.
- Data entry and tracking of training and safety records for large volumes of personnel.
- Assist with contract administration as needed
- Assist Admin, Finance and various other wildfire staff with additional administrative wildfire duties as needed.
- Attend and complete necessary training courses
- Follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Business Rules
- Be available to travel to work in other forest areas in and out of province.
- Shift work (Evenings and weekends) may be required
**Qualifications**:
Directly related education and or experience is considered on a one-for-one basis. Lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification level.
**Additional Requirements**:
- Strong Keyboarding and computer skills in either Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace or an equivalent software
- Able to work evenings, weekends and extended hours
- Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
- Current Driver’s Abstract, showing a record of seven (7) demerits or less, must be obtained. Your Driver's Abstract is required to be obtained within 30 days prior to your commencement date and must be presented to management prior to your commencement for the above-stated position.
**Assets**:
- Previous forestry experience or experience with the Forestry Division
- Experience using Wildfire Management software:
Fire Information Resource System (FIRES) and Dispatch
- Knowledge of resources used in wildfire operations and the Incident Command System.
- Knowledge of Wildfire Management, business rules, policies and standard operating procedures

**Salary**:
$21.67 to $26.37 per hour
**Notes**:
This requisition is recruiting for seasonal wages Wildfire Data Entry positions with weekly hours up to 36.25. Evening and Weekend Shift Differential may be available as required.
