**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate financial reports for management review and analysis.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Develop and monitor budgets for construction projects.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections.
- Analyze variances and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
- Monitor cash flow and oversee collections activities.
- Coordinate payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs and liaise with benefits providers.
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff members.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
