JOB TITLE Customer Marketing Executive

JOB PURPOSE
As the AFH Customer Marketing Executive - Trade Lead, you will be responsible for the strategy development and execution of joint marketing plans for several major trade partners across wholesale &
Cash &
Cary (incl. Brakes, Bidfood, Eden Farm &
Booker). You will be pivotal in building our brands presence through these customers, working with the brand managers, sales managers, and customers to deliver ‘best in class activations, experiences and communications which really add value to our brands, the chef/business owner, the wholesaler and of course the consumer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and feedback insights, issues, and trends with regards to the customer and trade environment to input into marketing plans.
- Develop and execute annual Joint Business Plans for each key customer including budget investment, promotional and activity evaluation. Support in customer pitches and selling presentations to gain new business or develop and deploy activations to grow existing businesses and ensure continued loyalty.
- Build marketing to marketing contact interface and relationships with the customers supported by the account manager and at senior levels.
- Tailor Concepts that help the customer grow, based on insights and Brand Performance.
- Ownership for planning and implementing activations for Unilever Away from Home within customer media and digital platforms.
- Support wider sales team by defining and overseeing the trade show process with our storage and distribution partner.
- Execution of customer digital initiatives e.G. banner advertising, social media, perfect product representation, etc where required.
- Support and coach an apprentice by setting clear quarterly objectives and supporting them with their own personal and career development.
- Work with external agency partners overseeing briefing and execution of trade artwork on time, in full and to budget.
- Budget management
- Keeping in tune with customers and operators by regularly getting on the front line.
- Integrated member of the wider UKI Marketing, data &
digital team to gain new skills, support, and share learnings.
ALL ABOUT YOU
- A degree level in Marketing or Business-related studies is preferred but not essential.
- Relevant years of experience in marketing or commercial role ideally where delivery of marketing initiatives has been included.
- Experience in Food Service or FMCG is desirable but not essential
- Experience in coaching or line management is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to remain agile, work with ambiguity and manage multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member with strong collaborative, cross functional communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to form long lasting working relationships with a variety of people.
- Good communication and project management skills.
- Passion for marketing excellence.
- Growth mindset with a passion for continuous personal and team development.
