Our valued client, a key Oil &
Gas midstream client are seeking a Project Engineer (Development) to join their team on a long-term contract basis.Summary of Responsibilities - The position is focused on working within an integrated team responsible foradvancing development opportunities from initial concept through toFEED/Detailed Design phases and delivering execution-ready projects;
- The interdisciplinary team will be supporting ongoing planning andcost/schedule estimating for the overall execution of pipeline infrastructureprojects ranging from existing and new LVP/HVP/gas pipelines, new orupgrades to pump/compressor stations, to metering/LACT facilities;
- Overseeing multiple project scopes will include the supervision of Third Partyengineering firms, construction specialists, civil survey contractors, andcoordination of project delivery through the respective Stage Gates ofGovernance Lifecycle;
- Coordinate with other internal teams to identify and outline all applicableregulatory, land, Indigenous, and environmental applications related to theproposed construction of pipelines and related facilitiesQualifications - A Professional Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent professionalstatus;
- A minimum of 7 years relevant engineering/project management experience,including pipeline and supporting infrastructure design, cost estimating, scheduledevelopment, and technical writing;
? Field experience including pipeline and facility construction and facilityoperations is an asset;
- Must be familiar with CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3 design requirements forpipelines and infrastructure facilities as well as other applicable regulatoryagency guidelines and policies;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Non-authoritative leadership skills with the ability to influence effectively;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to delivermessaging suitable for senior management and multi-discipline teams;
- Strong attention to detail and are a self-starter with a continuous improvementmindset;
- Driven, results-oriented individual who naturally takes responsibility for settingthe standard and achieving results within a continuously changing environment;
- An analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong business insight and anunderstanding of how to recognize opportunities for value creation;
and - Based in our Calgary Office, you will be required to travel periodically to theproject area.
