**Must have 5+ years of experience working in Commercial Construction**
Working closely with Project Leaders to prepare comprehensive action plans for commercial projects, this position is responsible for scheduling and coordinating meetings, materials, labour, and equipment. Working in a fast paced environment, this position will liaise with site leadership to ensure scheduling, risk management, project documentation, planning and financial tracking are done to standard. They are responsible for quality and all deliverables. To succeed in this role you should have excellent time management, communication and follow up skills, as you will collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver results on time.
Contributions
Review and understand the job scopes and estimates
Design and create shop drawings with Site Superintendent assistance
Assist the Project Manager with assigned projects to ensure they are completed on time, on budget, within labour hours, and within cost estimates
Under the direction of the Project Manager you will prepare estimates, submit RFI’s, review drawings, gather measurements, calculate estimated work, and prepare change orders
Schedule and attend project meetings such as start-Important Company, contract schedule, project break-down, and turnover meetings
Order, schedule, and track the delivery of materials, equipment, and tools to the project site
Visit construction sites to help operations monitor the project progress
Close communication and reconciliation of fielddata
Monitor project progress, update project information
Responsible for project quality and deliverables
Promote and encourage an HSE culture
Must be able to read and understand general arrangement, isometric, P&
ID drawings, and specifications to ascertain a project scope for insulation, cladding and roofing.
Perform full take-offs, including manual measures and table reference for various scopes
Review and understand client’s documentation and fill our required bid forms to provide a complete package for submittal
Write bid letters and supply necessary documentation to fulfill contractual offerings
Be able to calculate required resources, including equipment, materials, man-hours, and schedules from the RFP documents to provide a complete estimate
Provide alternates from base specification where and when appropriate for review
Technical
AutoCAD
Bluebeam skills
Estimating skills
Revit
Ability to read construction drawings
Education and Experience
At least 5 years of project coordination/management experience.
Civil or Architectural Technologies Degree or Diploma is a must, or;
Construction Project Management Diploma
PMP is considered to be an asset
Construction background with exposure to process industry practices
Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint
Previous trade certification or knowledge is an asset
Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test (including cannabis)
